ReproCAST™ Silicone Casting Material

ReproCAST™ Silicone Casting Material - LOW PRICE EVIDENT provides an ultra-affordable high quality polyvinylsiloxane (silicone) system for the recovery of a variety of forensic evidence, including tool marks, textured surface latent fingerprints, and bite marks. This system is also an excellent recovery system for postmortem friction ridge detail, such as mummified or partially decomposed human skin tissue. ReproCAST™ is a flexible silicone material which produces highly detailed reproductions of 3-dimensional marks and impressions. The white, black and clear silicone are excellent for recovering latent fingerprints which have been processed with fingerprint powder. The neutral pink coloration is ideal for photographic documentation. Each ReproCAST™ Cartridge includes four mixing tips and four wooden spatulas. ReproCAST™ Cartridges my be used with our 50 ml ReproCAST™ Extruder Gun or with an existing 75 ml extruder gun. Extruder Gun and Mixing Tips are sold separately below. ReproCAST™ Extruder Gun & Mixing Tips - LOW PRICE ReproCAST™ Extruder Guns and Mixing Tips are for use with ReproCAST™ Cartridges sold above. The ReproCAST™ Extruder Gun evenly extrudes two components through the mixing tip to produce a highly flexible reproduction. Simply insert a cartridge into the gun, attach a mixing tip, and start casting. ReproCAST™ Silicone is manufactured in the USA and available exclusively from EVIDENT.

Mikrosil Casting Material - LOW PRICE To reproduce the most subtle tool marks and impressions, experts rely on Mikrosil Casting Material. Proven in laboratory tests to be superior to other known flexible casting techniques. By dramatically increasing the visibility of tool marks, firing pin impressions, etc., Mikrosil increases the probability of positive identifications. Used extensively in the field and the laboratory, with remarkable results. Each set comes complete with 200 grams (7 oz.) of Mikrosil, hardener, mixing pad and wooden mixing sticks. Cleans up with ordinary paint thinner. Available in brown, black, white and gray. White Mikrosil is very useful for lifting latent prints developed with black powder on uneven surfaces. Black Mikrosil can be used to lift latent prints developed with silver or white powders. Use it on uneven surfaces as you would with White Mikrosil. The contrast between the light-colored powders and the black background makes the latent prints easy to see and easy to photograph. When using fluorescent powders to develop latent prints on multicolored, uneven surfaces, you can effectively lift the latent print with Black Mikrosil. When using a forensic light source, there will be a contrast difference between the black background and the fluorescing latent print. Gray Mikrosil is the newest color available. It works well in most situations because of its neutral tone.

Major Case Casting Technique with Mikrosil For nearly a century desperate attempts have been made to record all friction ridge detail on the fingers and palm surface of the hand. Conclusive latent print comparisons often require the recording of the extreme tip, side, lower joint and palm areas of the hand. Successful efforts generally include the inking and rolling of the fingers from side to side and end to end as well as multiple impressions of the palms.This techniques has long been a requirement for latent print examiners in major cases throughout the profession, thus, the term Major Case Prints. Now thanks to Mikrosil, the Major Case recording of the friction ridge skin of the entire hand can be accomplished with minimal effort. Whether the subject is alive or deceased, rigor or decomposed, maximum quality detail can be recorded in one application. This technique has been successfully demonstrated on extreme cases involving skin slippage and deterioration. This process requires approximately one half tube each of White Mikrosil and hardener per hand. Application is accomplished by spreading a sufficient layer of the mixture over the friction skin area, allowing approximately twenty minutes drying time. The finished cast can then be carefully peeled from the hand.

Bulk Dental Stone Dental Stone is the best known material for reproducing footwear and tire tread impressions in soil, sand and snow. The mixing of this product is best accomplished in a large 4 mil. plastic zipper bag, adding 6 ounces of water to every pound of casting material. Simply add measured amount of water to the dry dental stone, squeeze the bag to mix components and pour into the impression form. Allow 25 to 30 minutes to set. Oversize shipping applies.

Pre-Measured Dental Stone The mixing of this product is best accomplished in a large plastic zipper bag, adding 6 ounces of water to every pound of casting material. Simply add measured amount of water to the dry dental stone, squeeze the bag to mix components and pour into the impression form. Allow 25 to 30 minutes to set. Individual casting material bags are sold in 2 lbs., 3 lbs. and 4 lbs. size bags listed below.

Evident Casting Frames - LOW PRICE When you use our economical plastic frame around your impression, you are containing the majority of the casting material where it is most needed. Can be permanently left on the cast or carefully removed for reuse or disposal. Footwear frames are 7” x 14”, and tire track frames are 11” x 15”.

	Compact Dental Stone Casting Kit - LOW PRICE This Compact Dental Stone Casting Kit contains the necessary components to cast individual impressions. Simply open the box, place the folding casting frame around the impression, add the water to the 2 3/4lbs. of dental stone and thoroughly mix before pouring.

Snow Print Wax Snow Print Wax is for footwear impressions or tire tracks on snow covered surfaces. It is recommended that prior to casting in snow, this aerosol wax be sprayed onto the impression to retain fragile details and reduce the effects of melting. 15 oz aerosol can.

Dust & Dirt Hardener This spray is for the recovery of footwear impressions or tire tracks in dirt, sand, and dust. It is recommended that prior to casting in the soil surfaces, this aerosol preservative be sprayed onto the impression to strengthen fragile details. 15 oz aerosol can.

BVDA Gellifters BVDA Gellifters are designed for the lifting of fingerprints, footprints, dust marks and trace evidences. The thick, low-adhesive gelatin layer permits the lifting of traces from almost any surface. Each BVDA Gellifter is comprised of three layers. The first layer is the carrier, which holds the second layer of gelatin in a pliable and flexible format. The thick gelatin layer is ideal for lifting evidence while not sticking to the surrounding lift area. The third layer is the protective cover sheet. The cover sheet is a clear polyester film which is removed prior to lifting, and may be replaced once the lift is completed.
